MY HUSBAND RECEIVED A CALL STATING SOMETHING ABOUT FRAUD. IT WAS A WOMAN AND SHE EVEN GAVE HIM A CASE NUMBER. I GOOGLED THE NUMBER AND SAW ALL THESE OTHER COMPLAINTS. WHEN YOU ARE IN DOUBT...GOOGLE.
Got a call about my husband about 2 counts of fraud. A voice recording of a woman. Gave me a case #. Tried calling back no answer. A buncgh of BS if u ask me.
Can't these numbers be tracked down by the police department or FBI? They have to be registered to someone! Once they trace the number to the source, they can be prosecuted for breaking the law!
They can scramble their number. So they can call from one number, but it shows a different number on your caller ID. If they do this there isn't going to be a way to trace it. Even if they're not, these kinds of people tend to change their numbers pretty quickly.
I received this call today from the Processing Summons division from 201-205-1083. I didn't answer it either! The message was left stating I had 2 counts of fraud in my name and SSN, gave a case number, and said I would be served at my place of employment or home. Come on scammers, enough all ready!!!! Leave us alone!!!
