I have now resorted to keeping my phone plugged into my fax line in the hopes they will take me off their call list. I can see who is calling on my TV screen and will return calls to people I know. If I didn't need the Fax I would get rid of my land line!!!
Reported company to donotcall.org. I have been on the do not call registry for years and do not appreciate these calls early Saturday morning before I am even awake! No answer when I initially picked up but called right back and someone answered say "Mike's Alarm Company" sounds pretty bogus to me considering I have never done business in NJ nor do I even own a home!
Does no good to report the number as the DOJ is not concerned with our non-wanted phone calls and could care less about the people in the United States. The "Do Not Call List" was made law about seven years ago but the current administration seems not to care. Also, if the scam (scumbums) that continue calling just change numbers. The call and call and call getting unused numbers then spoof that number and call you. It's just too much for the average homeowner to put a stop as well as the cell phone users are getting these calls now. Just don't answer and if they call more than once, unplug your phone and be done with them. Even if it was Terrorist trying to gather information, the DOJ wouldn't care about that either just as they don't claim the Fort Hood Shooting was not a terrorist act.
Same thing happened to me..I have probably had 50 missed calls over the past few weeks. I called and the person answered "Mike's Alarm Company" I explained that I had read online that this company is a huge nuisance! He assured me that effective immediately I would not receive any more calls from this number. We shall see!
