These no-goods call repeatedly, and are rude when you question why they are calling a DNC-rgistered number. They claim to be calling on behalf of my credit card company, but won't provide info with which that can be verified - because it is obviously a lie. Seems impossible to get them to stop. Other than not answering the phone, does anyone have a solution?
Received a call from this number today. It is coming from an area in Oradell, New Jersey. Called the Bergen County Police Department for Oradell, NJ at 201-261-0200. They are aware of these calls going out, but are unable to trace the calls without a court order. If enough people call maybe they will get a court order. Spoke with a SGT. Smith and he said to hang up, and not respond with pressing any numbers. I have blocked the number on my telephone, and filed a complaint with the FTC - Do Not Call.
If you have a modem in your computer with caller id...download phonetray 1.39 free app...install it and add numbers to the privacy manager list...set it to "zap call" and "auto" with one ring. The app will disconnect the caller on the 1st ring. You will never be annoyed again. If your modem has voice you can set it to output a list of messages. Check it out..It is fantastic. downloads.zdnet.com/abstract.aspx?docid=2827313 (copy this link and paste it into your browser).
No more annoying calls! Block any call..or area code.or fake numbers.
I have been receiving calls from this number 3-4 times a day for the past week. When I pressed one and asked to be taken off the call list the man said 'absolutely not' then I asked him to repeat it and he said it again. Then I asked his name and he said 'DEEZ'. Falling for the worst line in the book I said DEEZ? and he said yep DEEZ BALLS! and laughed at me. at which point I hung up. I tried to block them through Verizon, but when I enter this number and hit apply the website says it can't process my request.
