These idiots change numbers each time I block their calls. Now I play games with them. I give made up credit card numbers- put my grand kids on the phone- blow a referee whistle in the phone after I get a person.
These people should have masks and guns! They are trying to rob you. They get you to tell them your credit card number and then they charge things to your card. Block them. Turn off the ringer. Do whatever you can to educate others about what these people are trying to do.
Received a call from this number today. It is coming from an area in Oradell, New Jersey. Called the Bergen County Police Department for Oradell, NJ at 201-261-0200. They are aware of these calls going out, but are unable to trace the calls without a court order. Spoke with a SGT. Smith and he said to hang up, and not respond with pressing any numbers. I have the number blocked on my telephone, and filed a complaint with the FTC - Do Not Call.
RECEIVED CALL FROM THIS NUMBER AT 4:24PM TODAY, 1/31/12. DIDN'T ANSWER. NO MESSAGE LEFT. I AM SUPPOSED TO BE ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST LIKE EVERYONE IS BUT THESE STUPID PEOPLE KEEP CALLING. I HAVE DECIDED TO LET MY CALLER ID TELL ME WHO IS CALLING IF DON'T RECOGNIZE NUMBER/NAME LET GO TO ANSWERING MACHINE. I AM FROM OLD SCHOOL. IF YOU NEED TO TALK TO ME & IMPORTANT LEAVE A MESSAGE. OTHERWISE FORGET IT. THESE PEOPLE ARE GETTING SMART LIKE HACKERS SO I JUST SUGGEST EVERYONE BEWARE. I AM SENIOR CITIZEN & GET SO TIRED OF RECEIVING THESE DANG CALLS. WHAT THE HECK IS OUR GOVERNMENT DOING TO HELP ANY OF US, ESPECIALLY SENIOR CITIZENS. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. THANK GOODNESS I DON'T HAVE A CELL PHONE. I CAN'T IMAGINE WHAT IS GOING ON THERE. GOOD LUCK!
