Answered this call because caller ID said New Jersey and I had just had dealings with someone there. Went directly to robo call recording after asking for husband by name. Hung up & blocked!
Never heard of this caller before. Agree with Greg. My late husband fought colon cancer 10 years and he never received a dime from any cancer organization. I'm working on paying off his bills that insurance didn't. Don't give to any org. over the phone!

ANY charity that does cold-calling has a very high likelihood of being a scammer or at least a very poor choice for your hard-earned cash. None of the charities I support ever calls me (thank you!), they fund-raise strictly via US mail or my email address, though the American Cancer Society called a couple times, just because I canvassed the neighborhood for them once, as they have a local office that helped me after I had cancer. I think the good charities that make the best use of their donations do not call willy-nilly. These companies use sound-alike names too, don't fall for that!
