Called asking for the old CEO who left over 10 years ago. He was "surprised" to hear that. Then asked for the new CEO. I asked what the call was about and he just told me he used to do business with the old CEO and he wanted to chat with the new one. There is no way I would transfer with that information so I sent him to a voicemail. He hung up before the call completed.
This guy called this morning and asked if my boss was here.. he was not and I asked if I could take a message or send him to voice mail. He declined and asked for my bosses' cell number, which I refused to give. he hung up... called back about 5 min ago.. and asked for my boss again.. Boss man is in a meeting.. he told me to tell bossman that Justin is on the phone and he needs to speak to him NOW. I offered to take a message and he YELLED AT ME telling me to get the boss on the phone now. I refused again and he YELLED at me again telling me that if bossman knew it was Justin he would take the call... I refused AGAIN and asked if I could take a message. I can't wait until "Justin" calls back.... This will be fun!!
a woman named Melissa asked for my CEO by name. I told her he was on the other line and if she'd like his voicemail. She said, "well tell him Melissa's on the line, I'm sure he'll take my call. Thank you." I said I cannot do that. If he's on the other line, the line is busy and he's most likely on a conference call. So she said, "okay I'll just shoot him an email." and hung up. didn't even say bye. Seems fishy,
also, how would he know "Melissa?" Melissa from where? She wouldn't tell me who she was with. She definitely doesn't have his email. They'll probably try calling again. I'm the only one who answers so this is going to be fun.
'Anthony Martin' called looking for our deceased prior owner on one of our back lines. Proceeded to tell me that he is one of our former customers and wants the new owners name. Got EXTREMELY belligerent and harassing when I asked him what the purpose of the call was. Claimed to be 'a former customer in the area' wanting to do business again. Flat out told him that I was the POC if that was the case and changed his tune. Total scam artist once I looked up the information he gave me.
