I got a call from 3241 and they say they are from Microsoft calling to help me fix my computer. When I said that this was suspicious they say No, No, We are working for a company through Microsoft. They wanted me to go into my computer and bring up a website. I told them I had another call coming in and they called back three days later. I had a very hard time understanding them, very thick accents. Sounded like they were from India.
Having worked for as a telemarketer in the past, I can tell you about the Do Not Call list. These companies recycle their automatic call list again and again. It's why you keep getting calls. Yes, they push the button for DNC but the next time it recycles your number will still come up.
In order to charge them so many complaints must be actually filed against their company by the same person. (I don't know what it is now) It's difficult to do this. Because they have multiple numbers, because they donot actually give their company's name and location and because it's impossible to block them.
My advice: "Take me off your call list" and "click". If you have caller ID, every time they call add them to your call list with the name "SPAM!" instead of a name. That way you can disconnect them without answering.
Received this call on my cell phone. Recorded and began mid sentence. Something was said about getting their service only if owing more than $3,000.00 I am on the DNC list and will report it.
