This is still happening, I guess, because I just received a call from "Medco" about a prescription. I had a hard time understanding her because the connection made her sound very, very far away and her accent was very, very hard to decipher. I said I would not give her my birthdate that she asked for. She said I could call Medco because there is a problem with a prescription. I do use Medco but I don't think I have any outstanding orders. She gave me a number to call 1-866-546-8145. I looked up the caller number first and read all these notes from a couple of years ago. Looks like the same thing, so I'm just going to let it go. Good luck y'all! cj
C.J. just had the same experience last week, guess she still works there...lol. Told them to stop calling my number and the calls are endless. Called today and told them I was forwarding a copy of my cell phone calls received to the CEO of my husband's company. Let's see if that works!
Thes folks called my elderly mom a few times, she finally picked it up, thinking it may be a relative with a similar area code, they explained they were a mail order pharmacy, the lady was "very nice" according to my mom and explained the proceedures, etc
My mom told her she was not interested (thank God shes old school!) the lady then asked for some personal info like address....then tried to get my moms social security number!! my mom is old but not stupid!
Got a call from them--didn't have the phone. But I am glad I looked up the number and found
out about this. Apparently, someone is using another different number that is supposed to
be Medco. I know this because I didn't recognize the number and didn't answer the phone.
When I checked it out, it was supposed to be Medco. Everyone is absolutely correct--they
should have your address, etc. because I have insurance that wants you to order meds
from Medco and I get letters from Medco frequently. Is there anything that sleezeballs
won't do to get people's personal information?????
