I got the same call from this number. They knew where I live and all. I don't know how it happened please help. I don't want to get involve in this scam.
Phishing scheme posing as Government agents. Knew it was a scam as soon as I picked up the phone. Long distance static and the guy said he was calling from DC. I asked him when Washington moved to India. Could hardly speak English or read from his canned script. Don't fall for this. Wonder how they sleep at night scamming old people out of their retirement?
tODAY, AT 1:30PM,some woman claiming to represent the US government, said she had a $9,000.00 grant for little old me. What a bunch of B.S.! I told her I knew it was a scam and she hung up on me. What a f***ing joke!
Just received a call from 202-000-1111. The strange number threw me off but I figured I would humor the guy anyway. He was foreign of course and was clearly reading from a script. He tells me that the government wants to give me over nine thousand dollars because I have never filed for bankruptcy, file taxes every year and do not have a criminal record. Then he proceeds to ask me for my account information or if I'd prefer Western Union. I asked if I selected Western Union, if I would have to pay anything out of pocket. That's when he hung up.
just saw this # on my phone, did not pick up because it doesn't look like a real #......and yesterday another # called and tried to scam me so I knew this would happen today, I would get calls again from scammers....the first one pretended to be IRS that they have a case and investigation , beware of this one too, they all have the same accent and tell you you have to pay immediately or will be arrested! I reported it to thepolice since one of them pretended to be police officer from my township
