I got the same call from this number. They knew where I live and all. I don't know how it happened please help. I don't want to get involve in this scam.
I got the same call. So I said fine, send it!!!! Then I asked where he was calling from and he said Washing DC. So I asked him how the weather was there and he couldn't answer. So I just told him off and hung up!!!!
Its a scam...they call trying to say the government is giving a grant..when asked, they say "its not a school grant" just a grant of $7000 to do what ever i want with it. My son is a senior in high school and applied for many scholarships so i had to listen for the first few minutes. No offense and not to sound prejudiced but as soon as i heard that awful accent and could barely understand them, i knew it was a scam. When they call i simply start asking them questions and they rudely hang up on me. Now when they call, they say Washington DC so i say immediately what state are you calling from? They either say Washington DC again and i say thats not even a state and they hang up or they hang up when i ask what state. I would like to shoot these scum suckers and i wish the US government would do something about these international scams calling the US. With all our technology we cant figure out where the call is coming from? With an exchange of 000 (which is invalid) the phone companies cant simply block that?
Got a call today from this number . Guy sounded middle Eastern, coughed in my ear and said he was sick and asked where I was. Told me his was my "hubby." God, people must be bored .
