Well I got on of the calls but if I don't know who is calling I never answer the phone anyway... They can leave a message if they want to. I have all the names of the people I want to talk to , so the caller ID will tell me who is calling. Not there tough luck you just aren't going to get to talk to me...
Strong Indian accent saying he was with the government and I had randomly been selected to receive $9,000 grant that I didn't have to pay back and wanted my bank account. When I questioned him and told him he didn't sound like an american he told me I sounded like a [***] so I hung up on him.
Person said they was calling from DC. .and i was chosen to receive a $9000 government grant. It was a person with a strong foreign accent. I said that this sounded like a scam, and they hung up. When i tried to call back anout an hour later, just out of curiosity, it said the # was disconnected or no longer in service. It was definitely a scam.
I got a similar call, I played along for a few minutes. The said the money needed to be deposited directly into my bank account, the he asked me how I would like to receive the funds. I said by US mail in the form of a check. He said that was not possible it could only be deposited in my account electronically. I then said I'm not giving any banking information over the phone. He then hung up.
