I just got this call, and I asked how he got my number and he claims that the government did a national survey in September of last year and got mu number through there. he also offered 9,000. i hung up in the middle of his speech and out of curiosity typed in the number on google. a bit relieved to see I'm not the only one!
Received this call today about $9000 that required no payback from the US govt. Once I starting asking about giving me their info to verify they hung up. Indian accent. Sounded as if they were outside. Also claimed they were with the federal govt housing dept
Same spiel, accent and attitude. When I told him to take me off of whatever list I am on, he mocked me, then threatened me with calling the FBI and police on me!
