Got a message from someone claiming to be from the IRS. Said they were bringing legal proceedings against me for tax evasion. Very thick Middle Eastern accent. Second time I have gotten a call such as this in the past 4 months! How do I get this to stop!
I received a call at 01:23. Same name and message that have been listed from the many other folks that reported this also. It was from officer David Miller from the IRS in regards of TAX evasion. This is a true SCAM. I know from my local NEWS station the IRS does not leave voice messages that someone will be arressested.
Don't fall for the phishing SCAM calls anyone.
Received phone call from David Miller, IRS with same message as others that are posted. Did not answer the call, but let message go to voice mail. Immediately looked up phone number in Internet and found helpful info regarding this scam.
I got the same message from Officer David Miller. What a joke. First, the IRS doesn't call and leave a message like that. Second, to collect a debt of any type, the caller is supposed to ask for a specific person. Third, what a bunch of BS about getting arrested. I did call back and the system said only that the person I was trying to reach was unavailable and to leave a message. Part of me wanted to leave a lovely message, but decided to just hang up. Have to love the accent and the lack of clear usage of the English language.
