Got the exact same message. Heavy Indian accent (80% of our company is Indian, I recognize Hinglish).
Essentially the same script. I love the part where she said "if you do not return this call, it will be a big mess for you". heh. I know DC, and that's not how the IRS talks. No personally identifying information on the call either.
Just received this same phone call saying I was being charged with tax fraud. She wanted to know if I could borrow money from friends. Was sending sherrifs deputies over to the house.
I have received multiple messages from a DC area woman as described below and a man with a similar accent from a phone in FL. Both claiming almost the exact same thing about taxes owed. I talked to the FL guy and he couldn't provide any details and when I pushed him harder he hung up. Don't waste your time, block them.
