I received this same call stating I had won $9000 from the government. Do not agree to the arrangement they offer of depositing $250 in order to verify your identity haha. It is a huge scam people. Hang up the phone and don't give your information to them. While I'm here I may as well inform you of another scam that I believe are from the same people. They call claiming to be from either Dell or Windows Security about your home computer. They claim that you are having a security problem and that they received a report. Do not give them any information! They want to access your computer to obtain your personal information. DO NOT allow them to install or update anything on your computer (they will try through remote access or by email). Hang up the phone and block their number. You're welcome.
Guy from a different number called said I "won" a grant to the tune of $9000 said I needed to call the 5337 number give em some sorta code so I did. That dude said basically the same stuff as told to y'all. I let him go through his entire speel and when he asked when I could go to money gram and send the 250 to verify I'm me so I could get the 9000 plus my 250 back I told him my son used my car to go to school and locked me in the closet til he got home. A few days later get another call asking to speak with me I (being 41) can't sound very young on the phone so I proceeded to tell him "Only cats live here" he was all like excuse me? And I proceeded to tell him that my mommy chained me to my bed that I can't talk loud or she will know I told. He hung up but before then I heard him say to take my number off their list because I was crazy and belonged in an institution.
I got a call from this number as Unknown and surprisingly they had all my details. Its should be a scam. Luckily call got cut and i did not register for anything. Thank you for writing here.
Stupid muslim called me telling me his got a grant from the federal government for $9,000.00 of funds . Then he kept asking me for my bank account . I was going to fall for it because I working on my welding certificate and I need money for my college credit which what I'm working on . But he called me right when I was feeling tipsy after few glasses of wine and going to eat dinner . I was alerted when he said that the money would be direct deposit in my bank account . I was like right now the federal government will deposit money into my account right now ? RIGHT the federal government has done any thing right now IN MY WHOLE life span so I was ooooh yah yah what's your employee number ? Theses people call me saying I been selected for a grant $9000 cuz I'm not a convicted felon and have not filled bankruptcy in the last past 6 months. Says the check should be to my house in a few days. Then next day same call for 7 grand. For one I'm not that lucky. Two he say he wire the funds but need $250 first. Then I asked who be worked for he said the government. I said what is the business name he said the government . Lol scam
