Jane
Called and left message on my phone that said:'ignoring this message will be an official second attempt to avoid  initial appearance before a magistrate judge or the grand jury for a federal criminal offense. My number is 202 683-4013. I repeat its' 202 683-4013. Do not disregard this message, and do return the call. Now if you don't return the call and I don't hear from your attorney either, than the only thing I can do is wish you a good luck, as this situation unfolds on you . Goodbye!"

I got the same call just a little while ago. Thanks for transcribing it.
Very robotic female-ish voice. Obviously fake. Wording suggests that the perpetrator who composed it does not have English as a first language -- if they even have one at all!
I like to fiddle-f*k around with their heads, so I called back. Same robo-voice says there's no one to take your call; asks you to leave a message. Disappointment...
Ignore them or string them along, as you prefer, but do not give them any real information (to say nothing about money).

Got the same call today with voicemail message like the one provided by Jane.  This number appears to be used frequently - wish there was an entity that could/would follow it back to the source.

Doing what, cleaning out the cells?
One would think that a real person in "Law Inforcement" [sic] would know how to spell "Enforcement".

We have an entire thread dedicated to calling back the IRS scammer ... the originator of that thread finally realized:
1) His efforts would be better spent trying to educate the many folks most liable to be scammed, rather than having fun playing with one or two scammers
2) The bad guys are using SWATting techniques to get the real Law Enforcement folks to visit callers such as yourself.  Real Law Enforcement folks know about this danger!

So, rather than attempt to waste the time of one or two IRS scammers, visit nearby old folks' homes or other places where you might be able to educate the unwary.

(Suggest you do not issue handouts, until you learn how to use a spelling corrector)
