File a police report at your police station, and also ask if any officers had been dispatched to your apartment complex at that particular time/date.
It is most likely coincidence that an officer stopped by your apartment on a Saturday night at 9 pm, as "disturbing the peace" calls are frequent at that time due to loud parties or arguing drunks. The troublemakers often disappear when a police vehicle shows up.
The scammers are lying to you. Their goal is to get you to send them money, and bullying you with lies is one way to do it. In the future, block calls from this number. Do do not answer calls that have numbers you do not recognize; let the calls go to an answering machine or voice mail.
Oh also at the end of the phone call the indian man told me to sip some tea or water and calm down everything will be ok? The whole phone call just seemed like a scam. I even asked him if it was and his response was people ask him that all the time and if I don't believe him he will not work with me and he will send the police to my door. If the irs does not contact you in this manner what are these people doing? Besides giving people panic attacks.

I got the same call 10 mins ago. I did not answer. They left the exact same message on my phone. By the way it is a lady's voice. I agree this is a BIG TIME Scam. Especially, when she said it is the second notice. And the ending of the message that sounded like (not exact quote) "Good Lucky if I don't hear from your lawyer."
Please, my fellow Americans, please remember if the "Feds", "State", "County" and "City" have anything to notify you, they will send you a letter (in writing. Might even send it by Register Mail. You needed to sign for it). Or they will send a Law Officer (FBI, IRS, Sheriff Officer, Local Police Officer,. . . .) to deliver the notice in person to you. THEY WILL NEVER CALL !!!! This SCAMMER are preying on our FEAR, using different legal terms to scare us. Don't fall this, if you know you have nothing to hide. You pay your Taxes, pay all your bills on time, . . .
Same old tired IRS scam call on my work phone. I asked Officer Julie Andrews (yes, that is what she called herself) after she identified herself as being from the Treasury Department of the United Stated Fraud Division of the IRS if she could please define what IRS stood for. She said "IRS". I laughed at her which started her swearing in Hindi at me. I believe the women scammers have worse attitudes and filthier mouths than the men. She hung up on me. Boo Hoo! I was going to ask her to sing for me. Don't fall for these criminals. Be Safe!
For some reason the Indian and Pakistani scammers are using the names of American actors or fictional names from American films. Which doesn't help their scam that much.
