Report the Calls to the real IRS here:
•report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 800-366-4484.
•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.
Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.
I filed a formal complaint with the FTC/Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. They said I had to give them a company name in order to file the complaint. I told them there was no company name; they are claiming to be the IRS. They said it's not enough information for them to work with. I asked if they could trace the phone number 202-751-2543 to find out the source of the calls, but they said they can't. So, the FTC can't do anything. Will try the Treasury IG.
