Got call from recording saying IRS has lawsuit against me and I should call them back at 202-803-4318. This # was on caller ID as WASHINGTON DC. Clearly a scam. I filed complaints with FTC and IRS, and notified my local police.
You would think they would get a different number. Called them back to just to mess with them. Asked them if I could pay by credit card. He was very pleased by this, but he didn't quite understand when I told him my CC number was e-a-t - s-^-!-t
Was waiting for a call, so answered the phone even though I didn't recognize the number. As mentioned previously, a recorded call in a heavily accented male voice, claiming the IRS was going to sue me. I hung up and will not answer them again.
I got 3 calls from this phone number and the message that was left for me was that the I.R.S. is filing a lawsuit against me, which is not true. This was the first time that a voice message was left.
