Just got a call from this number, Caller ID said Washington DC. We also don't pick up the phone, no message was left, just like with every other number we don't recognize.
The upsetting thing is is that every time we renew our numbers on the no call registry listing, we start getting more unwanted calls. It's almost like these scammers monitor the no call list...
Hi, this is what I have been saying for years on this site. Scammers are buying the DNC LIST
and using it as their personal phone book. Only real people with personal phone numbers
put themselves on the list.
I would say, if you want to make the DNC LIST really work for you, we need
to start filling the list with every number of every scammer listed on this site
and every number of every politician.

You have obviously been posting incorrect information for years then. The first thing I noticed is that the poster you replied to was renewing his phone number. Each time he does that there is a 30 day period where he is not covered. there is no reason to renew the number because it is already on the list. Now, why would a bunch of criminals pay $16,000 for a list of phone numbers when all they have to do is use a computer program that dials every phone number in a given area code? In addition, why would they expose themselves by buying this list? The fact is that the DNC works for what it was intended and that is to prevent legitimate businesses from making telemarketing calls to people who do not wish to receive them. Unfortunately people such as yourself do not understand this. People such as yourself think that a law will protect them from the bad guys. I am sure you don't lock your car up at the mall when you park it, because why should you? After all there is a law that says someone can't steal your car or the personal items in it. This law of course prevents that from ever happening, at least in your fairy tale world.
Grow up, read, learn, and become educated on the facts of the real world. Criminals break the law which is why we have police, courts, and prisons. The fact that most of these criminals are overseas in countries with a corrupt government that takes bribes to protect them does not help matters.
But hey, I am sure we could pass a law to prevent them from calling people and stealing money also, and I am sure it will work as well as every other law on the books.
yes, we are on a no call list and have gotten multiple calls from this Wash DC number. So sad that people want to steal from others in this way. I'm happy for being able to search the number however!
