Got an automated voice saying IRS filing lawsuit against me. Asked to call back to 202-864-1142. Reported to FBI. Impersonating the IRS is a Federal Felony with up to 21 years in federal prison and a civil fine of up to $1.25 million
Just received the same call from the dubious number. Female automated message left on the machine claiming to be the IRS calling with a "final notice" that a lawsuit is being filed and that we are to phone the 202 number back.
In the meantime, the caller ID showed the call as originating in "California" and the number that appeared was (934) 565-3661.
