Got an automated voice saying IRS filing lawsuit against me. Asked to call back to 202-864-1142. Reported to FBI. Impersonating the IRS is a Federal Felony with up to 21 years in federal prison and a civil fine of up to $1.25 million

•report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 800-366-4484.
•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
Got call demanding callback to area202 864-1142 from the IRS saying the IRS has a lawsuit against me. I don't have Caller ID on the home landline which is 203 457-1162 (CT) so I don't know origination of call.
the phone number on the caller ID was 931-569-3671, but was also told to call the 202#, saying The IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. I hope all these scammers are caught and have to pay a stiff fine, especially when you're on the don not call list and have an unlisted #!!!
