Caller ID said Washington, DC. Rcvd it at work 1st thing this morning. Automated message from "IRS" regarding a criminal lawsuit they have filed against me, gave a case # that I didn't get, and return phone number for me or my attorney to call 202-864-1724. The end of the message broke up but essentially told me that if me or my attorney failed to return the call "Good luck as the situation totally unfolds on you". Can't believe the IRS would leave a message like this. Pretty sure it's the same scam/new number.
I got the same call from 1 202 8641724 .this person with a,strong indian accent threat me they stated that they are irs and theres a law suit against me. He was very rude and hardly let me speak he also said that police in on his way to my house and I should hire an attorney right away. I told them to go and f..vk him self
Got a call from some guy with a heavy accent. Said his name was "John Holmes". Laughed like hell and told him John Holmes was a 1970's porn star. He got mad and hum up quickly.
Just got a call from this number (automated message, no human to respond to) threatening us with legal action for something that we "are on the hook for." Ridiculous, threatening message. Obvious nonsense to us, but I could see someone else falling victim to it. The whole thing screams scam. I feel like calling the number back just to let them know I'm reporting them.
Received "robo cal" from the IRS from a female agent Natash Brown stating that there is a criminal case. Caller never stated who they were calling nor did the caller(?) state who they were calling. This is the second call within as many weeks from this robo caller. Left a case number etc., and stated that either I or my legal representative contact 202 864 1724. If they don't receive a call back the caller said "good luck" and it was now on you. I know this call is bogus because I had contacted a friend in the IRS who stated the IRS doesn't work this way. They would send out a letter of contact etc.
