It's a scam. They won't answer the phone until you try to put in the case number. Then you only get the first one or two numbers and they jump at getting to your call. It's a sick way to try to steal your money so PLEASE don't fall for it.
I told them they could meet the IRS in the parking lot at my place of employment as my identity was stolen and have not yet received my tax return. I said they could battle it out , "thank You Mam and have a nice day" they hate when the answers are not in their script!!
Same with me, they called several extensions at my place of employment with the same threat telling me I was in big trouble with fraud charges against me (2 of them). After getting several hysterical calls from co-workers as well as one on my line, I called from a random pay phone that took time to find.....The women asked me for the case number they gave me, then she asked for the last four of my Social Security number, when I told her I don't give out that information she said, "We'll see you in court then" and slammed the phone down. This happened in June of this year.
I just rec'vd a phone call from the same person that has been calling and calling. She states that they have filed 2 counts of Fraud agaInst me, for what I have not a clue. I do know that this person or people use several other phone numbers with of course not the same area code.
I am nor would I ever commit fraud, so that's [***]. I have my cell registered on the "Do Not Call" list, but that is about worthless as anything. It certainly does not stop the phone calls. I know that this is a scam, heck everyone who has commented knows that this is a scam to get money. Well,they are not getting a dime from this women. JERKS!!! ( I CLEANED UP MY LANGUAGE IN MY COMMENT)
