It's a scam. They won't answer the phone until you try to put in the case number. Then you only get the first one or two numbers and they jump at getting to your call. It's a sick way to try to steal your money so PLEASE don't fall for it.
I have had the same thing happen to me over and over. It's the same woman's voice from random different numbers saying that there are charges filed against me for fraudulent activity. She says that she is from the processing summons division. They would not call people like this. It is absolutely a scam. The following phone numbers are (405) 673-5800, (501) 291-1947, (202) 930-5562, and sometimes unknown.
Yes I have had calls from all of these numbers!! But to give everyone a heads up on how this happens...you know all of those adds for "payday early" where you get an advance on your paycheck? Well I followed up on one of these calls and they claimed they were filing charges against me for a non payment on a payday loan!!! Well it dawned on me in 2005 I paid off one of those loan shark places and had the paperwork to prove it!! But get this they had my old bank info and even last four of SSN!! Man I went off I told them my attorney would be contacting them, explained I had pay off info, and guess what? They hung up on me!! So BEWARE do not succumb to payday loans!!! They sale your info!!!
I never did a payday loan so I am not sure how they got my info. They are calling my work which is an attorney's office. I did call them back to get the company name. They need to be stopped. They stop and then call back a few weeks later. I was helping my sister get some of her finances straightened out so it might be from that but I can't even be sure where they got my information from. I just want them to go away.
I blocked the number 405-675-5800. Now they are calling using this number 202-930-5562. They are saying that I have charges (2) against me. Same message as the other number. I am tired of this. I have been keeping a log and the recordings of the messages. What else can I do???? I am also on the do no call list!!
