After 10+ years of having this phone system, I finally figured out that I could block calls on my home phone! It's a beautiful thing! If you have an option to save a number on your handset, then click it, it may say something like "SAVE CID" and then give the options "Phone book" or "Block Call". I have been blocking these types of calls right and left since then. The only time it doesn't work is if you are on the phone, and you have call waiting, then they can eek through.
"Another one bites the dust!" has become my new mantra.
I have been receiving calls from this number for about 6 months. He stopped for awhile but started calling again I don't remember but his name begins with a J. This time I let him continue to talk then he told me I didn't seem interested. I then told him that I've asked him to stop calling. He got angry and asked me why I let him continue if I wasn't interested and I told him since he continues to call he might as well gave his speel for nothing. He got even angered. I told him to go f*** yourself and hung up. He preceeded to call my phone back 3 times in a row. I have now blocked that number
