I received a message today on my work number and they left a message saying it was an emergency. So like a ditz I called back. "Alex White" told me that if I didn't pay over $1000 over the phone for an old debt, that I would be arrested by local law enforcement for a 90 day period without bond. They would also be sending a letter to my employer telling them I committed financial fraud (with checks I don't have on my account) and therefore would lose my job. If the judge wants, you will go to federal prison for 5-6 years and have no way to ever bank again. My credit file, social security number, etc would all be red-flagged.
I told him no way, its a scam. 1st off, bill collectors do NOT call you telling you "do not interuppt me while I am speaking, you can ask questions when I am done speaking. Answer all these questions with a yes or no only. Of course, he stated something and I said What? He proceeded to get angry and told me that I am not to interrupt him. 2nd, I ain't stupid... I was googling his number the whole time on the phone. When I asked for his bar # or case #. he quickly hung up.
Received a call from this number... this a$$holes tried this with me a year ago, and a year before that as well. When he asked for me, "Is this Magna?" "Um...try again" "What?" "You said my name wrong...try again" "MEAGAN?" "YES!! Good job!" "This is Jason so-and-so with the district attorney's office, and I am calling on a debt collection that you owe. You will need a lawyer. Do you have a lawyer?" "I don't need one"...click! He hung up on me. So I this "Jason" person back and left him a message saying, "You dicks tried this on me already and you must be insane if you think I'm falling for your bullshi*. Call me again and I will be filing a police report".... And now.... I'm signing up this phone number for EVERY free "offer" I get in my junk email.
Getting these calls as well. Left a voicemail saying I would be arrested. Fortunately they only have my land line and I hardly use it anymore, I may just get my number changed. What a PITA. What is the process for reporting these folks?
Got a call from this nuber which is a majick jack number claiming to be a lawyer named shawn white. He said I was being charged with 3 counts of bank fraud and I was going to be arrested and sued for 225k
I got a call from Attorney Shaun White 205-258-1111 claiming going to be arrested and to get attorney,,,I have had issues for several years because I tried to get a payday loan online but did not accept it, did a 3way call to bank who confirmed that monies on a certain date for a certain amount from Payday loan was not issued. They apologized said mix up probably, Well they continue to call and threaten but now different names and phone number. SCAM
