Who says this is Verizon....YOU need to get your facts straight before making such slanderous accusations. Much of this is due to Caller ID companies that promote caller ID spoofing making it appear it is from another telephone number not from a specific telephone company. Yes it would be nice for all of these big telephone companies to get together to stop this practice and go after these companies the provide caller ID spoofing because they do have the resources and clout in Washington DC.
as a retired verizon employee , we are getting way too many of these calls and it should be stopped. If you are big enough to call then stay on the line so we can tell them to be removed and where they HAVE TO comply. We are entitled to our privacy . Even though I do understand that these companies are slick, we should be given an option to be slicker than they are. This is not a nice CHRISTMAS present and I hate them too. Run a legal business, the you dont have to hide behind a bogus number. Please Verizon, dont take this personal, ATT and others are getting it as well, cause we the CUSTOMERS are tired of this. If it was only one or two, alas, but hundreds??? Royal pain in the [***].
I am on Do not call list, second call from cc telemarketer in 1/2 hour. 1 from this Seattle# and 1 from Clearwater FL What a nuisance! Obviously list doesn't ward off harassing calls.
What do you mean the DO NOT CALL list doe's not work? It has to work. Our tax dollars are paying for it. It's run by the government; the Federal Trade Commission or the FCC. There are checks and balances to make sure we get what we pay for. If not, we should stop paying our taxes until we get what we pay for.
