I hear you!! Just got our millionth call this month. When I press to speak to a rep, they hang up as soon as you tell them to take you off the list. How on earth do you stop jerks like this from harrassing you? We are on the NDNC list, but can't even complain if you don't know who is calling you!
You can "press 1" or whatever #, but it WILL NOT stop them from calling, from a dozen different #'s about as many caller ID's. Today's was "Financial Center", others are "Card Services". All you can really do is block their numbers. DNC lists are a FAT joke and more than useless!
Same as everyone else. Want to lower my credit card rates. I know its no use to press the button to "remove myself from the calling list". It wont, they wont. All it will do is not waste one of the live operators times. Pressed 1 to speak to an operator and when they answered I kept saying "HELLO!" in my best "Retarded Warren" (There's Something about Mary) voice until they hung up on me. I accomplished more than the folks who calmly asked them to remove them from the list and then got told to [***] off and hung up on. I irritated the loser on the other end of the line, wasted some of his time and then he hung up without telling me to [***] off. Personally, I hope the building full of these people burns down with them all in it but life is not that fair.
