Download the "Disconnect Ring Tone" and play it whenever you get a call such as this. Note there is a pause between your picking up your phone before someone answers. This is the computer determining whether it has reached a valid number. If you play the disconnect tone, the computer automatically removes you from their calling directory.
Just called my cell-was a tape advertising a security system. I hung up. We have gotten these calls from other numbers for the same product on our land line phone. Sure doesn't seem to help being on the Do Not Call lists.
REC'D A CALL FROM 206-496-0985 @ 12:09PM CENTRAL TIME-I DID NOT ANSWER THIS CALL-CALLED FROM WORK PHONE THEY SAID THAT THEY ARE MARKETING CALL FROM A COMPANY WHICH THEY DID NOT SAY WHO THEY WERE OR FROM-MOST LIKELY A SCAM-I HOPE THAT THEY READ ALL OF THE COMPLAINTS ON THIS WEB SITE. I WONDER IF THIS WEB SITE WILL TRY TO HELP US ALL IN THE CORRECT WAY TO STOP THE CALLS THAT KEEP COMING FROM SO MANY DIFFERENT NUMBERS-SCAMMERS LISTEN UP-I AM MAKING A LIST OF ALL THE CALLS TURN INTO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE IN LOUISIANA, FBI AND CIA. ONCE THIS DONE-I PRAY THAT THE PEOPLE DOING THIS WILL BE CAUGHT AND FINED.
