I just got a call from these people telling me that I am getting a government grant and to go pick it up at Walmart. But first that want me to call 202 684 6332 for more instructions.
I got the call at 9 AM today saying it was a Windows rep and my computer was compromised. Hung up and called back. Busy signal. I am in Nova Scotia, Canada
4/4/2015 Received a call from Seattle Wa. # 206-708-2849, they tell me that they are from Windows want information off my computer. They said that my computer has a problem and they want me to log in and they will tell me how to fix the issue. My computer has no issues, when I tell them they are a scam they hang up. You can barely understand them and it's always a Male that don't speak good English. This needs to STOP.
The foreign on the other end of the line clamed to be a computer tech. from Windows and that my computer was being hacked. They wanted me to turn on my computer and they could fix it. When I told him that he was a scammer he said in that foreign voice I not scammer, I then said a few chose words, yes you are and then they hung up. This happens to me a least once a week. I'm so tired of this.
Didn't recognize, didn't answer.
