Calls originate in India and Pakistan. They spoof local numbers. Like to use area code 202 so people might think they are located in Washington DC. Ignore and block the calls.
Get weekly roto calls from this number, giving name of David Grey (or Gregg?) reporting an action by the US Treasury Department. If we don't call back "it is a deliberate second attempt to avoid an action before a magistrate for a federal criminal action". Foreign accent, foreign language structure,....
I have had three calls in the last two from a David Gray (336 441 5979) with the "United States Treasury Department," threatening the same things as above. I got 2 calls last week from a woman saying she was calling from the IRS about unpaid taxes, 6,000, in 2010! She told me to be prepared to be arrested! She said it would be an automatic 30 day jail sentence. I reported that call to the IRS. I hope these horrible people don't take advantage of an elderly person, or anyone for that matter! As my elderly father was subjected to such a scam. It can shake you up a bit when you are not familiar with this type of scum of the earth.
