RS does not file lawsuits. Tax disputes are civil matters. 90% of all IRS tax disputes are settled administratively. IRS has absolutely no authority to call on local law enforcement for anything. Local law is never involved in IRS tax disputes. If LE is necessary, US Marshals do the job. IRS does not cold call anyone and all contacts are initiated by US mail.
got a call, supposedly, from the IRS stating they are going to file a lawsuit against me. The number was from 727-472-5667 and they number they wanted me to call back is 206-973-3241
recieved 2 calls requarding the IRS and lawsuit. 288 656 2722 which I returned the call from caller ID, a woman answered and denied calling, and hung up. then 20 min later 285 652-2122 and when I returned this call, got this phone is not in service. When I went to look them up on the internet both numbers do not exist. I quess I was lucky that the first call was forwarded to the caller.
Received a message stating that it was the IRS filing a lawsuit against me. The caller ID number was 431-647-5888 but when they left the message they said to call back on this number: 206-973-3241. Looks to be a scam.
