Who cares? I mean really? Who cares who it is. I don't know. You don't know. I'd say it's probably someone, from some part of the world trying to steal from you. Forget about it. Don't call it back.
They've called twice today. The first time I actually talked to the scammer. Strong Indian accent insisted my Windows machine, right than, was sending spam. Funny thing is, I run a Linux laptop at home. Definitely a scammer.
The same thing with mine. I have a PC that I don't use and my apple is my primary computer. I guess I made the right choice to not let them "help me". Have you received calls from them lately?
Did not leave a message. I am guessing it was the Windows scam yet again, as I read above. Caller ID says Global Help, so I assume they wish to "help" themselves to gullible people's wallets.........globally.
This dude called me from this number and said said that he is from Windows Technical Support (Microsoft) and that my computer had downloaded a malicious software (riiiight!) When I asked him his name he said it was Mike. I asked him his last name . He said it was Smith (riiiight!). No more red flags needed. :) I hung up.
