I find it hilarious that you are an educated college professor and actually felt the need to research this. What a clown. They had a recording tell me to call them, The DEA, because I bought illegal prescription drugs. I call them back every five minutes begging them to let me turn myself in.
I just got a call on my cell phone from the same number. Actually, it had gone right to my voice mail. How so rhwy get away with calls like this? Do they think we are morons, or something? I'm up in New York. Anyone have any idea who I would contact up here?
Got a call from them today. They called twice and left a voice message. They mentioned the name of the person they were looking for, and who the person who committed fraud at their business was. Also, said I was involved in the fraud case and to call their secretary immediately. It was a man with very broken Indian English. He said he was a deputy sherif.
got the same message they keep saying i borrowed money which never got and they want me to pay them back they dont have proof and they were pretending to be cops
This is a scam they called me today a Mr. Jeff Coffee from Federal Legally Defender saying do not ignore the call or I will be in serious trouble. They don't know I've worked in the payday loan Industry before and I'm very familiar with this scam. They will threaten to have the police come down and arrest you while you're at work is you don't immediately send them money.
IT"S A SCAM and anybody posting anything different is working for them trying to convience you otherwise
