I find it hilarious that you are an educated college professor and actually felt the need to research this. What a clown. They had a recording tell me to call them, The DEA, because I bought illegal prescription drugs. I call them back every five minutes begging them to let me turn myself in.
I just got a call from 210-390-8365 last week it was 760-933-8612 who knows what it will be next week. Same people the 210 number is a magic jack they are using. Mine was David Smith always American names. Same script. I told them I have recorded all their calls and I am reporting them to a friend of mine that works for the FBI and that more people are on to them and we will track you down and have you arrested. I told them do not call me again and hung up. What bothers me is the people that they are able to scam.
this is a scam, by payday loan lender from the internet. those websites that get all your info and say they will search for cash for you. I hate I was even thirsty enough to play into that game. I never took any loans but the damage is done, they have all my info and cell and work numbers. I'm not ganna trip unless they go into my bank account. then it's ON! PLEASE keep complaining and hopefully we can shut them down!!!
I have been receiving these calls for the last 4 months. They use a new name each time. I switched my cell number but they have my work number - as I just received another. I was told by the police to get a loud whistle and blow it in the phone next time. Unfortunately I can't do that at work. I have even answered the phone as an officer of the law - that stopped them for a few weeks. The scary part is now they are quoting my social security number and address and have threatened to hurt me. The police have done nothing to help - does anyone know where to get help?
I just received 10 more calls - now it is coming in as a 911 call - This has to stop and there has got to be something we can do. WE ALL MUST HAVE SOMETHING IN COMMON - I was told by Cashnet USA that they have had someone hack into their system and got all their clients information - they have reported it and state it is fraud - also Household Finance has the same problem - I am going to do more investigating as this guy does not let up!
i've to have been getting this number calling,they called me on my cell,work and now my home they also have been threating me that i better pay. i was scared but when i 1st found out who they are i just gave them a piece of my mind. This is a scam what they are doing they said it's a legall matter and that i need to call them right away. They also are have a eastern accent and all male that call.
