A male with a thick Indian accent called from this number. Told me some mumbo-jumbo about viruses on my computer and he wanted me to sit at my computer so he could walk me through the problem and fix it over the phone. Obviously some type of scam. He hung up on me once I told him "ain't nobody got time for dat!"
I knew when he said he was calling "every windows user 1 by 1" that either a) he was going to be a very VERY busy man or b) he was trying to scam me. Told he was full of crap and hung up.
Got a call from this number, Indian guy saying he was from pcspeedy.com (scammers) & wants to fix my computer. I told him I wasn't interested & not to call me back, then hung up on him. He called me back 3 TIMES until I was screaming at him. Called the company & told them to take me off their list. We will see.
Same guy called me. I told him this seemed very suspicious. He told me to get in front of my computer and he would have me "run some tests" to see what was wrong with Windows. I asked him to put me on his Do Not Call list. He told me, "Just go to hell, idiot!" I'm serious!1 Is there a way to report these guys?
Got a call today, 12/9/13 at 3:08pm Eastern Time, alerting me to an "issue" with my "computer." Like the others have said, the person on the call was unintelligible. I told him I did not have any problems with my computer. He insisted that I did, just didn't know about it, and that was why he was calling. I told him again, calmly, "I do not have any issues with my computer. I won't be giving you any information about myself or my computer. I don't know how you got my phone number, but I would appreciate it if you would not call me again." Then I hung up.
