A male with a thick Indian accent called from this number. Told me some mumbo-jumbo about viruses on my computer and he wanted me to sit at my computer so he could walk me through the problem and fix it over the phone. Obviously some type of scam. He hung up on me once I told him "ain't nobody got time for dat!"
Got a call from this number, saying my computer has downloaded programs without my knowing it. I asked how they knew it. They did not answer my question. When I asked to talk to someone that could speak better English, she (?) said someone will call me back and hung up. Well she (?) may not know it, but I will not be able to understand them either......
Got the call sounded like from India.... They call over and over again about the same scam of buying they're program.
I try everything to stop the calls #77 and calling my phone company to block them and they still get through.
I'm going to cancel the service to my landline. Our Government should be doing more to stop these scammers.
You will still get those idiots calling you, because they call cell phones too.
I hate to say this, but the next time they cal, wait until someone gets on the line, then scream as loudly as you can with your mouth right next to the phone. That might stop them from calling you for a while, if you are that desperate.
Some idiot called me and asked me about "Windows." He sounded like an INDIAN buffoon. I kept him on the line for 5 mins and then put my 8 year old on the line to ask him about "WINDOWS." My son then spoke to him for a bit and asked him "Why are you calling during dinner?" I got back on the line and he told me "my son does not anything about WINDOWS." I kept speaking with him until he called me a "CRAZY MFer.! I hope that [***] calls me back.
Same as the others, only this time I asked them for a number in case our call got dropped. They gave me 1-800-935-0714. I then said "Now, can I get the REAL number of your company because I am sure this is a bogus number since you are trying to scam me." They said "You want our REAL number?" I said "Yes", to which they then gave me 1-800-842-1499. I then said "I am assuming this is also a bogus number since you are still trying to scam me?" They said "No, you can check out the number on the internet if you want." To which I said "I don't need to waste my time doing that, I will just give the number to the FBI Computer Fraud department" to which they hung up.. :)
