Received a call from (212) 438-7805 @ 10:13 a.m this morning. Again, a woman with a heavy eastern Indian accent asked for my parents (I think they may be targeting the elderly.). As I usually do with this type of call , I told the woman they were not available. She then asked about our computer, I told her I was not interested and hung up. I called the number back and got a recording from McGraw-Hill advising that the call was a scam. I was not able to leave a message for their investigators as the voicemail box was full. I am also going to contact the FCC.
I just received a call from the same people. I kept asking what company they were from. And with a thick accent he and she both told me McGraw Hill.com.I told them that we will not be doing a one time fee for them to do anything to my computer.I hung up and they proceeded to phone back several times. Guess what no one is answering the phone on this end.
I got the lady with the heavy accent who asked if I was <my name mispronounced>. Said she was Nancy from Best Houst and there was a problem with the computer, and asked if I was in front of it. Caller ID said McGraw Hill Com.
