Thanks for reading and spread the word.
I received the same call yesterday. I knew it was a scam or a sales call from the beginning. I played stupid and "said" I was at my computer. I kept asking him if anyone ever told him he sounded like Freddy Mercury. (from Queen, who was actually Indian).
I kept the guy going for about 20 mins.
Just got off the phone w/ a heavily accented woman - I asked for her supervisor as I could hardly understand her. Not much better w/ the supervisor. Anyway, I asked him 'how did I know that he wasn't the hacker?' and he answered, "because I told you not to get online." Anyway, it was a bunch of malarky and a fake. The caller ID on my phone said McGraw Hill Com, and of course the number is the same as listed. I want to know why the FCC can't do anything about this kind of thing. What do they need to prosecute? Thanks to all for spreading the word!!
