Satan never sleeps!! Received yet another call from these evil doers out preying upon whomever gives them a moment! This time the call came in under the alias of Tech Plaza # (214)446-4608. Man with an Indian accent claimed he was from Windows support and was calling me due to the error messages he (they) have received from my computer. These kind of calls are coming in with more frequency!! Something needs to be done! What ever happened to the "Do Not Call List"? I'm sure that's only for legit company's and where this IS a scam it doesn't apply. Nevertheless, I'm tired of my privacy being invaded by these jerks who will relentlessly keep calling ...and at all hours!
10/1/2014 at 1135 am received a call from this number, ID came up as Tech Plaza. As soon as the man spoke, I identified a Indian accent. He stated that, I believe I am speaking with (stated my first name). I told him that he could believe what he wanted too and who was I to tell him differently? (That threw him seriously off guard and took a minute to collect himself again) He then asked to speak with my husband, calling him by his first name. I then demanded, What do you want? When he stated, it's about your computer, I cut him off and told him to go pound salt. Hanging up on him. Your caller ID is the only defense you have and once you identify this as a unknown caller, you have several options, either to answer the phone or not. I chose to not only answer this call, but to fight back!
Scam of some kind telling me that my computer had downloaded dangerous information and I needed to get on my computer and follow their instructions. I asked them how they knew it was my computer and he just kept blabbing in an east inian accent so I hung up. They called right back and I did not answer.
Called, said he was tech support, I told him to [***] off. He said he would come to my house, cut my tongue out, and feed it to the dogs. Yea, not a pleasant scamming company.
Received a call today (as we often are receiving them now) from yet another company claiming that our computer has a malfunction. The name of this particular company is Tech Plaza, and allegedly they are in Dallas, TX (although the call was probably re-routed through an unwary computer. A fellow with an East Asian accent, who called himself "William," told me that he was calling from "computer support" regarding my computer. He asked first if I was the primary owner of the computer, I asked him what he meant by "primary owner." He asked again, and I again asked what he meant by "primary owner." Apparently I confused the stupid mofu, since the line went dead. Thanks for being a contestant today; and, although you didn't acquire any of my personal information, we do have a consolation prize for you: eat my shorts!
