Satan never sleeps!! Received yet another call from these evil doers out preying upon whomever gives them a moment! This time the call came in under the alias of Tech Plaza # (214)446-4608. Man with an Indian accent claimed he was from Windows support and was calling me due to the error messages he (they) have received from my computer. These kind of calls are coming in with more frequency!! Something needs to be done! What ever happened to the "Do Not Call List"? I'm sure that's only for legit company's and where this IS a scam it doesn't apply. Nevertheless, I'm tired of my privacy being invaded by these jerks who will relentlessly keep calling ...and at all hours!
Just got the call; it was hilarious as I said I had 6 computers--HUGE lie, only have 2--running various OS and I needed to know which one had the bad file. Said it was WIN7, told him none of my PCs ran that OS and that I only ran Win XP, Vista and WIN8, so he said it was the XP. I said that both were currently off and to try again; he said I didn't know what I was talking about. The clincher was him stating that I 'beamed' it via satellite which is impossible as I pay my cable provider for net access, and though I didn't know what it was he was after I told him to try someone else who hadn't been using a Windows OS since she was 8yrs old and hung up.
Same old, same old. Indian (country) or [***] accent alleging there is something wrong with computer. Scam. Waste of time to try and have fun with them as they hang up. Doesn't anyone want to play anymore?
I keep getting these calls, 214-446-4608...caller id says Tech Plaza. They tell you that your computer is infected and sending out malicious emails. Want you to get on your computer so they can help you "fix" it. I've told them to never call me back and yet the calls continue. English is not their first language, at times hard to understand what he is saying, but very aggressive and won't take no for an answer. Very annoying and I quit answering the phone when they call....a friend told me she has a friend that fell for it and the end result was her computer got fried, her computer tech said her computer would need to be totally rebuilt. These people need to be stopped!!
I got this kind of call many times, the guys (with slight accent) always say there are problems in my PC which showed up in their computers. I told them that my computers work fine, it must be their servers. I told the poor guy that I can fix their problems with a fee, but I need his name and credit card number first. Depending on my mood, I can throw in something to get these guys really confused or mad. Invariably I became the pursuer and they were the defender. I think we all should do this and get some fun out of these crooks.
