This is an old "Indian Scam" claiming to be from Microsoft using a years old gambit that your computer is sending them an error message. The tel #s change but not the scam which is > 3 yrs. old online.
Guy with accent called our business asking for "Joe Blow" (former owner, retired 8 years ago.) Said he was a personal friend of "Joe" and could he have his home phone number? Didn't want to talk to anyone else, which I thought was strange. Played along with him, asked for his # but he said "this number doesn't take incoming calls", then hung up on me.
Foreigner told me I was having computer problems. Told him my computer has not been on for MONTHS. He tried to keep interrupting me. I told him he could take his scam and shove it. I hung up on him as he was still jabbering.
Yea, this heavily accented man has called twice now; first time today I hung up on him, second time today, he changed his name from James to Jim and said he was calling from my computer company from the technecial department, after his introduction he says ok...I said no..it's not ok...I don't know you, I don't know what you're talking about stop calling, HE then hung up on me. LoL; what a load of crap! Amazing what type of people are out there today!
This is an obvious attempt to defraud and scam so I wonder why our government won't take a couple of days and do something about it. I know they have better things to do, but I also know they have the resources and the muscle to put an end to it.
