This is an old "Indian Scam" claiming to be from Microsoft using a years old gambit that your computer is sending them an error message. The tel #s change but not the scam which is > 3 yrs. old online.
India 'accent? but could not understand a word. Hung up when I asked who they were. More danged phone scam scum???? Who knows but they are now blocked!
Beware, this is a scam from India - people posing as Microsoft employees reporting that your computer is generating a Windows error. I played along, fully knowing this was a scam. When he said that my computer was generating an error message, I asked him, "Really? Thanks! Now which of my computers is it? I have 4 Windows computers running here?" (Which is true - I do have 4 Windows computers running.) He hung up on me.
I got a call from this # with an Indian accent stating they were from the technical department calling about my computer. I responded that I was not an idiot but clearly they were and hung up.
Got a call this afternoon from this number. I don't answer calls when I don't recognize the phone number, although the area code is from where relatives live. I waited for a message, but they hung up. This is the third call from these fake Microsoft guys I have received in the last week, all of them with spoofed area codes from places that would be relevant to me. THAT'S disturbing.
