These guys called and told me who they were and asked the name and address of the business that I own. Believing that this was a person interested in joining our group I explained that we don't meet at the address we meet at public places. Not sure if they got that or not.. Tried to call, no one answers.
Called and asked "Do you fix cars" I was leary about this since it was a Ohio number and we are in Vermont. I said. "We Do, yes." she said what is your address? (in a thick Asian accent) and I said, Who is this? she said her name was Janet and she was calling from some Global GPS company updating addresses. I told her that if she were who she said she was, she could just look it up on the internet. She said, OK and hung up.
Be aware that some places call asking questions like this to record your voice saying "Yes" and end up doing something unlawful with your voice. I, in this call broke my own rule to Never say "YES" in one of these phone calls.
8/29/11; Got a call from them for the second time. I own a deli and get a lot of out of town people so I did give them the address. I did ask the man why they wanted the addy since the call shows out of state. He stated that it was to input into a GPS system. I had doubts so I put in the number and see 3 years of comments! His voice sounded heavily middle eastern and very hard to understand.
They keep calling and the ID comes up as Unknown Number, which I never have and never will answer. Judging from the comments here, they really need to be shut down.
This company called my cell phone in relation to a "ghost" name of a sub-division of a company a family member works for. My concern is how on earth did they get my cell number when I have no connection to the company whose address & # they were trying to confirm except by very illicit means: maybe hacking or something. I am thinking of filing a complaint with the Cleveland OH police that someone is using their phone # representing a supposed GPS system of business names. I am going to do a lot of research into this because I am concerned how they really got my number and for what purposes. Our lives are way too open to the wrong people thanks to resources like Facebook. I livr a very low key life, or so I thought. Did they hack into cell phones? Computers? In any event this is not a reputable company and it has been under scrutiny for some time. I know because I googled them!!!!
