This number is calling me every days about 3 to 5 times daily,when I pick up the phone no one answer it is very annoying, if any law suit against this company my name will be on the list also.
they call me all the time with intermittent breaks between. dont answer your phone and hang up because hen they just call more at the # you answered. i even have an app that makes my phone sound like its disconnected but they still call. but, i did get a certified letter yesterday...with court documents stating im being sued-i dont know if it is by this collection agency or not though. im about ignoring phone calls but eventually they catch up to you.....
I would answer the lawsuit, otherwise in many states now there is a default judgement practice, and if they get a judgement in their favor, they can start garnishing your wages. And if its the same company, I would countersue them for illegal collection practices. Its illegal in most states to call you at work.
Ask for the address to send a money order to, as you have no credit cards, and dont have a current bank account. If they want paid they will have to give it to you. Then send a written cease and desist order. and ask for all correspondence to come through the mail. Once you put it in writing keep a log. You can make $1000 per call.
