Received the exact call as others have reported. Left a voicemail calling me by a totally different name. Called back to say the person referenced in the voicemail had not been notified, as I have had my number for fifteen years. Guy was very rude and abrupt, only saying my name had been removed from their call list! Ya think?
A recording calling for a former coworker at our place of business. He said since that person hasn't contacted them about their overdue account they will be calling their home and work. Then he said a bunch of account numbers and some other bs.
This sounded to me like a bottom feeder debt buyer or an out and out liar. Caller ID said unknown.
Whatever, I wouldn't take these criminals seriously.
Just got the same call.. saying he has a notice, I haven't called (which is never going to happen, btw), he's going to call/come to my home or work. No information regarding who he is, his company, the supposed creditor.. nothing. I smell bottom-feeder....

Any legit company is required and will leave a name and business name with a phone number that does not connect you to a recording. DO NOT ANSWER! I would suggest blocking this phone number.
I just got the same call and they also was repeating my last four of my social but since I never comfirmed it they hung on me. Then I called back and they didnt want to tell me their name.
Hi Erin I received the same call today. I too blocked the number. I've also gotten calls like this in the past where I involved the local police. I was told to block the number and never give the individuals any information about myself. It's sad that people are actually stooping this low to get money. Thank God I'm smarter than they are and I don't give away money that easy.
