A recording calling for a former coworker at our place of business. He said since that person hasn't contacted them about their overdue account they will be calling their home and work. Then he said a bunch of account numbers and some other bs.
This sounded to me like a bottom feeder debt buyer or an out and out liar. Caller ID said unknown.
Whatever, I wouldn't take these criminals seriously.
Scam scam scam, this is the second number, second call today with the sane information about a complaint filed against a person who is not known in our home. Please report these scammers and maybe they'll stop bothering people. The area code for the two phone are two different countries.
this number called and said i owe them 1500 dollars from an overdrawn bank account from 2009. This entire thing makes no sense to me. I don't know if I should take this seriously or not.
Adam I was also told that I owed money from an overdrawn account which happened in 2009. I first recieved a call on Friday November 9, 15. The individual told me that they paid for my information and if I wanted to avoid going to court I should pay 1500. They also told me I could go to Walmart and purchase a Green Dot card and they'd call me back Monday November 11. Well today I got a call from the Ohio number listed above followed by a recording. I blocked the number but I did listen to the recording which stated that there was a complaint against me. The call I received on Friday, November 9 was from an unknown caller. Nevertheless, I wish someone would come to my job regarding this nonsense. Trust they'd never go to anyone's place of business again. Communicating threats via phone calls aren't cool with me at all, nor lying under false pretenses.
