A recording calling for a former coworker at our place of business. He said since that person hasn't contacted them about their overdue account they will be calling their home and work. Then he said a bunch of account numbers and some other bs.
This sounded to me like a bottom feeder debt buyer or an out and out liar. Caller ID said unknown.
Whatever, I wouldn't take these criminals seriously.
i got that same message word for word but the person they were looking for is WHITNEY ELMORE...got this same call last year and told the person that this person don't exsist at this number , they asked who i was and gave them a wrong name. they said that they have papers to SERVE me,when i asked them QUESTIONS they hung up .... so now i play like a cat with these people .....yes i am bored,((just like a cat playing with a mouse till he kills it to eat it,)) i talk very slow and say "speak up i can't hear you""" i have a bad connection"" or i will tell hunny to get my hearing AID i can't hear ,, yes this drives them crazy , or start talking about something that was on the news .. they hang up and don't call again.
Just received a call from this number. I let it go to my answering machine. They are supposedly looking for Carmen Dennis and said all the same stuff that Erin mentioned in her comment. Obviously a scam as a real company or attorney calling would state their name and business affiliation. I can only hope they appear at my residence as they stated so I can find out what the scam is.
Scam call said all the same thing as the others not a real company you can only be served papers in person not via phone this is a scam they are fishing for info do not give them any info it's a scam
