I received a call today asking for my sister in law- who lives 300 miles away. I gave them no information- except that she was my SIL and lived hours away. They would not tell me why they were calling. They wanted contact info for her. I refused unless they told me WHY they wanted this information. They would not, so I did not and we hung up.
This company keeps calling me they have called 7 times in the last 4 days. they even call on Sundays, what the heck. Not only did they call on a Sunday but it was Sunday late night 2 times. First they called at 11:17 pm and then again at 11:46pm.
I have excellent credit and I am not past due on any of my bills. These people need to stop!!!
These people call me several times a day. I don't have a credit card with capital one and don't owe anyone money. I usually don't answer the phone, but sometimes I do. If I answer calls from people like this (and they're not the only ones to harass people), I answer with the first thing that comes to my mind.....Sheriff's Office......White House......WalMart.....Joe's Crab Shack.....Acme Plumbing......etc. They usually hang up first. It can be kinda fun, if you're in the mood to mess with them.
They have been calling my work phone twice a day every single day almost at the same time. Here lately I have not been answering it I have been diverting it.
I've received several calls a day since 10-1-09 asking for my mother in law. I saw I don't know who that person is but first ask where they are from and why are they trying to contact this person. They say on behalf of capital one. Finally on 10-4-09 I told them to take me off their system and they said they would. But kept getting calls at least once a day til i told them off on 10-7-09 and haven't received a call since. But the next day MY mom got a call at her house and asking for my mother in law. WTF??? My mother in law said she never gave my cell # nor would she ever give out my moms info...wonder where they are getting this info from. Scary if you ask me.
